Think outside the box with a fun theme – this can be tailored to mum’s interests for a personal touch and creates ideas for decorations, games, and gift inspiration for guests. This can be anything from a seasonal idea, based around a country or culture like Hawaii or Mexico, a fun idea to create a delicious menu or a traditional theme such as a tea party – the ideas are endless! For something simpler, opt for a nice colour scheme.

Set up some fun games that are versatile and easy for everyone to play, for example, something like baby bingo is always good as gets everyone involved and mingling. You can also put a baby spin on old school party games such as hook a dummy or come up with your own games for a more personal touch.

If you’re throwing the shower for someone else, getting guests to coordinate gifts to a theme or what the family needs is a great way to spoil baby and parents with special gifts they need and appreciate. Presents can also be for mum as well as the new baby.
